When deciding the name for a .html or .htm file, it is best to use a - in place of an _. If you have already named files with an _ then ok to leave ( unless it is an important file that you want to obtain a good SEO ranking) the _. However, going forwatrd, I would start using the - between words,.

The search engines see the words with - in them as separate words and the one with _ between then as a one word. Lake-norman-waterfront-homes-for-sale is bettter than lake_norman_waterfront_homes_for_sale.
