Dinner out or Invest in Yourself?

So In my previous post I mentioned a 21 week training session I'll be starting in September where I'll cover a different topic on each call about running a highly effectively real estate business.  We will go into great detail and do lots of Q&A on each call.  I just realized the cost per call is less than dinner out for two.  For only $71 per call you can discover secrets that will undoubtedly help you get from where you are now to where you want to go.  But why would you listen to me?…See More

Video? What Would I Talk About?

In my last post I talked about experts in our industry expressing the importance of video.  But many of the Realtors I coach get stumped by what to say on video and how to bring value to their audience. Here's the most recent video I did last week:  You should be able to copy and paste to your browser to view. My social media coach tells me the videos should be personal, under 2 minutes if possible, content rich, and engaging.  I'm not even close to mastering this thing but as I learn and…See More

Dive Into Summer

I recently recorded a video with the theme being let our team help you dive into the summer market.  The idea was to gain exposure on social media sites because that's what my social media coach keeps telling me. He says videos are where it's at for today's buyers and sellers and most especially for gaining a following on social media.  While I'm not sure I agree 100% I'm always willing to dive into learning new things and give it a try.  I don't ever want to be stuck in the "old" ways of doing…See More

Back to the Basics

Our team has been slammed over the last 60 days with our local market quickly seeming to shift from a buyer's market to a seller's market.  In the midst of the whirlwind that came with it I discovered, it's time to get back to the basics!  As I met with my team this morning I made a few notes of what we're working on and looking at and I wanted to share them with you today in hopes it will help you, your business, and more importantly, your mindset and overall well being. If you've been in this…See More

Preparing Potential Sellers For The Right Price

Over the last year or so I've been testing the waters with emailing sellers the market analysis on their home before the listing appointment.  I thought I'd give it a shot because in most cases what we seemed to experience with potential sellers on the listing appointment when time to discuss price was resistance, rejection, hostility, and mostly a severe misunderstanding of the market values and an overinflated idea of what their home was actually worth.  I always hated being the one to…See More

Price Reductions

Price reductions are a critical part of the business if you’re a listing agent.  I carry anywhere from 40-60 listings on any given time in most market conditions, and in order to get them sold it’s a must to have a price reduction campaign of sorts in place. One thing I’ve found to be super helpful when talking with my sellers is to not refer to it as a price reduction but rather a price adjustment.  Whenever we as consumers think of reductions it feels like we’re losing something.  When we…See More

I just shared the quick few thoughts below with my personal team today and wanted to share them with you.  I haven’t written in a while and am committed to giving back to you again!  I've been busy over the last year getting married, opening a new office, hiring and training a new team, and selling lots of houses.  We sold 136 last year and have sold 24 so far this year.  I'm telling you this because I want you to know I am still out here in the trenches with you every single day helping buyers…See More

What's up with this word Commitment?

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving week!  Before I share today's post, my heart compelled me to stop and take a moment to give all the glory to our awesome God.  Not that I'm anything extraordinary but without him I wouldn't have had the journey I've had to be able to share and give back to you.  Believing in and having faith in him has helped me overcome lots of stuff to get here.  Nothing is impossible with him in the driver's seat :)Okay so last week I shared the ingredients to success and…See More

Ingredients to Success

As I'm working on business planning for 2016 both for my real estate team and for the Realtors I coach and train across the United States, I created a list of the ingredients to my personal success.  I wanted to share the list with you real quick and then over the next few weeks I will be discussing each topic in more detail with my team and the clients I coach.  I will share the recipe if you will of what we brainstorm, create, and discover with you as it unfolds. Here's the list of ingredients…See More

Do you ever find yourself caught up in that "someday" conversation?  I know I have all too many times over my life.  But then, I read something, hear something, or talk to someone who's doing that very thing I said I wanted to or would do, someday.  It generally irritates me into taking action with the thought process of if they can do it, I can too. It's been a busy year for me in real estate.  I've sold 107 homes so far this year, hired two new members, opened an administrative office for my…See More

What are YOU up to?

That's the first question I recently asked my team when I met with them to discuss our 4th quarter goals and begin planning for 2016.  Then I asked them to ponder a few more.  I asked them to take some time in addition to answering these questions and decide what they want to do with their lives and business during the months of October, November, and December. I thought I'd post a quick blog for you to challenge you to do the same.  Don't allow yourself to be caught up in that "someday"…See More

Create What You Want With This

Today’s post is about creating what you want to have happen in your life and in your business for the second half of December and for all of 2015.  Earl Nightengale said it years and years ago, “you become what you think about all day long.”  I am a firm believer that if we choose our thoughts, choose our actions, choose our responses and reactions to life that we choose our outcome. To create and choose your outcome like anything else, it takes a little planning followed by some discipline and…See More

Objections are a part of our daily business no matter where we live, what type of market we're in, or how long we've been in the business.

Being prepared for the questions and objections you'll face is key to whether your customers and clients agree to work with you and more than that feel comfortable and confident that they've chosen the right agent.

Do you just generally answer questions on the fly or do you take the time to prepare, study, and practice the…

A Month In

Posted on January 31, 2017 at 12:00pm 0 Comments

Well today is the last day of the first month of 2017. Take a moment to think about what you’ve accomplished this month. If you did what you intended congratulations, job well done. Do something to celebrate. If you didn’t, simply look at what you can carry over to February and make a new plan for this next month. Do take a moment to look at what stopped you so you can go around it next month!

There are generally tons of expireds listings at the end of each month so make sure you look…

Working With First Time Buyers

I am speaking at our local Board of Realtors tomorrow on working with first time buyers and made some notes last night on what I wanted to talk about.

As I was printing the notes this morning it dawned on me that it might help you and so I decided to share my notes J

First, we get to know them by asking lots of questions to discover who they are, where they are, and…

Do You Find It Overwhelming To?

Posted on January 20, 2017 at 4:45pm 0 Comments

As an agent in the industry today, do you overwhelmed with all the coaching company ads and attempts to sell you into their program and/or products?

And do you find yourself confused by which one makes the most sense to actually help you grow your business or transform your life? Or for that matter maybe a coach that will help you stay where you are because that's exactly where you want to be with your business and life?

Me too, and I am a coach and own my own coaching…
