Well today is the last day of the first month of 2017. Take a moment to think about what you’ve accomplished this month. If you did what you intended congratulations, job well done. Do something to celebrate. If you didn’t, simply look at what you can carry over to February and make a new plan for this next month. Do take a moment to look at what stopped you so you can go around it next month!
There are generally tons of expireds listings at the end of each month so make sure you look them up tomorrow and mail to them, call the, text them, or visit them in person to see if you can be of support with helping them get it sold this time around. And remember, calling expireds listings is not about making the agent that had look bad or taking a listing from them. If the seller is planning on relisting simply tell them you honor and understand that and will keep in mind for any buyers you may have that their home could work for. When calling expired listings you’re looking for those folks who are planning to make a change.
In my recent church service and bible study it’s funny that it all keeps coming back to preparing, planning, praying, and taking action. The months may seem long but the years are fast and before you know we’ll be halfway through this year. Don’t let is slip by you without creating the life and business that you want! It takes a little time to prepare, plan, pray and then it takes faith and courage to take action.
I was reading If It Ain’t Broke, Break It last night and it talked about how taking risks are a natural part of human beings. We do it as babies and children all the time he said otherwise we would’ve never learned to walk, talk, ride a bike, or so many other things. But the older we get the less risks we take because of fear.
Fear is only in our minds and can be controlled if we choose to. Now obviously I’m not talking about the type of fear you feel when something to truly be feared is going on. I’m talking about the kind of fear that we as human beings allow to stop us from achieving our goals and dreams. Like fear of rejection, fear of embarrassment, fear of failure, fear of it being too much, too hard, too scary. Guys, this type of fear is not real it’s only in your mind and you can simply replace it with thoughts that actually empower you.
Daily affirmations may seem elementary and obvious but they are so powerful! You can write them, read them, or shout them. But do take some time to uplift and encourage yourself each day. I have an affirmations CD that we recorded if you’d like to purchase it then you could simply play it daily and repeat them to yourselves. I actually play it in the background of my office so my thoughts are drowned out by positive reinforcement.
